Times really have changed as far as downloading music. It seems like only yesterday we could go to Napster and download every single song we wanted for free. If something couldn’t be found on Napster, then simply load up Limewire and get all of your favorite songs. Then many lawsuits came crashing down on these companies and now we have to look elsewhere to find the best way to download music.
There has been many advantages of getting music digitally instead of buying CDs. One is how easy it is to get any song you want, instantly. Before MP3s, this was not possible. Digital music allows specials like this. In the day of CDs there is no way you could get the latest albums for anywhere near 99 cents.
Another option is iTunes. If you have an iPod, you obviously know about getting music through iTunes. If not, it is the program that comes with an iPod and allows the users to purchase and load songs straight to their iPod in a simple and timely manner. You don’t have to use an iPod in order to use iTunes.
Have you ever tried Spotify? It is free, but you can only listen to 20 hours of music a month. Additional to that, you can put your favorite songs into folders and share them with some of your friends. Want to listen to music for more than 20 hours a month? Then you can pay $9.99 a month and take the songs with you on the go. They have apps for the iPhone and Droid. Spotify is a great option that many people use to listen to music. Right now Spotify is invitation only. If you know someone who has it, just ask them if they can send you an invitation. There are loads of people that have Spotify and should be able to send you an invite.
Though we aren’t able to just build a library of thousands of songs for free, there are still many, many sites and softwares that are able to provide people with a means of downloading all of their favorite songs. Just check out all of the options and decide which program or site is the best fit for you. I use all of them from time to time, so don’t feel like you can only choose one.
